This upcoming season, the South Lyon Junior League has partnered with the VFW Hall and Project Homezone. Project Homezone is a non-profit organization that houses six homeless veterans and provides them with the tools they need to get back on their feet. As different men are constantly cycling in and out, they go through basic household items at a faster rate. With the help of our large SLJL family, we are hoping to provide them with the products that we often don’t realize we use on a day to day basis. The products needed are:
Canned goods (non expired)
Small kitchen appliances
To get the kids involved, we will be having a “Camo-Out” this year and will be selling camo t-shirts on our website to raise awareness and funds for this organization. During this “Camo-Out”, there will be tables at the different fields that will be collecting the donations. Remember it takes a village to make a difference!
Drop off dates are June 9th and 23rd. The collection will take place at both the SLHS and SLEHS softball fields throughout the games. When families arrive before their game time they can just drop it off at the table dressed in Camo.
