2016 Spring Pink Out
Our 2016 Spring “PINK OUT” games will be as follows:
June 18 – Kaline, Reese, GCP & Majors
June 25 – BCP, Mays & Minors
June 25 – Pink out at T-Riffic T-Ball Day at McHattie Park
We would like each player and coach in the league (parents and siblings too) to wear some kind of pink on that day. This is not mandatory, but we encourage everyone to participate in some way. You are more than welcome to wear anything pink that you already have.
If you are interested in purchasing SLJL Pink Out attire, visit our online store or visit KV Sports next to The Playground.
All proceeds will go to the Metastatic Breast Cancer Network (MBCN.org). MBCN is a national, independent, non-profit, all volunteer, patient-led advocacy organization dedicated to the unique concerns of the women and men living with metastatic breast cancer, also known as Stage IV or advanced breast cancer.
MBCN seeks to:
- EDUCATE patients about metastatic breast cancer treatments and how to cope with the disease; Educate the public about the differences between early and advanced stage disease.
- EMPOWER patients to use their story and voice to bring attention to the needs of metastatic breast cancer patients and to use their knowledge to participate more fully with their healthcare provider.
- ADVOCATE for focused research to find more targeted therapies to lengthen the lives of patients and make metastatic breast cancer truly a chronic disease like diabetes or HIV/AIDS.
I’m sure most of you know someone who has battled this terrible disease. Let’s show our support at our 2016 Spring Pink Out games!
