South Lyon Junior League

Projects

As we embark on another exciting year of softball and baseball in South Lyon, the South Lyon Junior League Board would like to take this opportunity to update each of you on some exciting developments. As our organization has grown and flourished to almost 1500 members, our resources have also been challenged. Our outstanding relationships with the City of South Lyon, Lyon Township and the South Lyon School District have enabled us to offer an excellent baseball and softball experience for the youth of South Lyon.

The need for additional ball fields has been clear for a few years. We have a unique opportunity to address this need. Through an innovative and dynamic partnership with the City of South Lyon and the South Lyon Parks and Recreation Committee, the South Lyon Junior League will be assisting in the construction of a new baseball/softball field at McHattie Park. This project, called “Double Diamond Drive” will also provide the current field at McHattie with a face lift.

This season you will notice a small increase in the participation fee for the Junior League.
Not only will every dollar of this increase go towards our McHattie project, but the City is matching every dollar! Thru the power of our nearly 1500 members we have the ability to meet an immediate need for additional fields and leave a lasting legacy at McHattie Park for our children and grandchildren. Additional contributions are very welcome and can be sent to:
